PROGRAM COMPETENCIES
Program Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
1 Possess fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in mathematics, computation, data structures, and computer science at the level required by the field.
2 Using the knowledge acquired in the field, analyze needs related to computer software and plan software development processes.
3 Using the knowledge acquired in the field, develop computer software.
4 Using the knowledge acquired in the field, test computer software and debug it.
5 Possess fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of Internet programming and web design.
6 Applies algorithmic thinking and planning approaches in their work.
7 Understands the requirements of computer systems and performs maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
8 Performs database design and management, and uses databases in their software.
9 Develops user interface designs used in software applications.
10 Using the fundamental knowledge acquired in their field, they work effectively—either individually or in teams—by conducting research and generating solutions when faced with unforeseen situations.
11 With an awareness of the necessity of career management and lifelong learning, they keep abreast of current developments in information and communication technologies.
12 They can effectively present their thoughts in writing and verbally at the level of their knowledge and skills, expressing them clearly.
13 Uses at least one foreign language at a minimum of the A1 General Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, keeps abreast of developments in the field of information and computer sciences, and communicates with colleagues.
14 Possesses a sense of professional and ethical responsibility in their field, prioritizes occupational health and safety, and adheres to professional ethics in information technology applications.
