ACCREDITATION INFORMATION NOTICE
The Department of Computer Technologies, Computer Programming Program at Pazar Vocational School of Higher Education applied for program accreditation to the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK) in 2025. As a result of the on-site evaluation conducted by MEDEK, our department has been accredited for the 2026–2027 academic years.
What is MEDEK?
The Association for Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation (MEDEK) was established in 2021. In 2023, MEDEK was granted accreditation authority by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) for 83 vocational college programs to ensure that these programs comply with established standards, quality criteria, and performance metrics. https://medek.org.tr/
MEDEK’s Mission:
To contribute to the improvement of education and teaching quality by providing information, external evaluation, and accreditation services for associate degree programs.
MEDEK’s Vision:
To be a pioneering organization that certifies the quality of associate degree programs’ educational and research activities and administrative processes—as well as the quality of the workforce—by defining them according to national and international standards and sharing the results with relevant institutions and organizations.

Accreditation Information
Ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement in educational activities is crucial for Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Pazar Vocational School, Department of Computer Technologies, Computer Programming Program to gain significant advantages—such as enhancing the quality of vocational education received by enrolled students and making our program a more preferred choice among students.
Within the framework of Turkey’s strategic development plans and with the encouragement and support of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the 2021 Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) was established to enhance the qualifications of vocational schools and their graduates. As the authorized accreditation center for vocational colleges, MEDEK is empowered in the field of accreditation. By certifying that vocational college programs comply with established standards, quality criteria, and performance metrics, it contributes to shaping the qualified workforce of the future.
Accreditation is an evaluation and external quality assurance process that measures whether a higher education program meets the academic and field-specific standards previously established by the Council of Higher Education. Consequently, associate degree program accreditation serves as a tool for academic quality, transparency, and accountability. Through the accreditation of associate degree programs, significant contributions are made to advancing the well-being of society by training better-educated and more qualified technicians who understand current and emerging technologies.
MEDEK accreditation can provide graduates with significant advantages in finding employment. In this context, the Department of Computer Technologies, Computer Programming program at Pazar Vocational School has entered the accreditation process with the Association for Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation (MEDEK), the authorized accreditation body for vocational schools in our country. The preliminary application has been accepted, the self-assessment report has been uploaded to the system, and an on-site evaluation is expected in October 2025.
